When you just want quick answers from a small group, account registration and complex settings can slow you down. With SurveySan, create a form without registration or login and share its URL to collect responses.
Create a survey without registration
- Enter the survey title and description on the homepage
- Add questions and response types
- Choose whether names are required, then select “Create a survey”
- Send respondents the response URL shown after creation
- View responses via the management URL
Respondents can open the response URL and answer without creating an account.
Question 1 is required for everyone. Additional questions can be made required using “Require an answer”. For choice questions, enter 2–10 choices, one per line.
Questions, choices, and the respondent-name setting cannot be changed after creation. Review them first. Pause or resume responses on the management page.
Start with question templates
If you are unsure how to write a question, use “Choose a template” on each question card. Set a question and response type together for satisfaction, attendance, future participation, improvements, or other feedback.
Before creating the survey, you can edit the template’s question, response type, and choices. Adjust them to your event or service.
Keep questions short and focused
To encourage responses, decide what you want to learn and include only the questions you need. For event feedback, combine satisfaction, highlights, improvements, and future participation.
- Feedback: What stood out to you most?
- Satisfaction: How satisfied were you?
- Attendance: Can you attend the next event?
- Preferences: What would you like us to cover next time?
Explain the numbers in a 5-point rating
Respondents choose from 1 to 5. Explain the endpoints in the question, such as “1 = Very dissatisfied, 5 = Very satisfied”. The satisfaction and recommendation templates include these meanings.
Share the response URL after creation
Share the response URL wherever respondents normally communicate: chats, email, or social media. Include the deadline and intended audience in the description to make the request clear.
To show results, share a results URL. The version without individual response lists shows summaries and free-text answers. The version with individual response lists also groups each person’s answers, including names if required.
Save the management URL for yourself and do not send it to respondents. In the same browser, you can return via the creation history on the homepage.
Limits to check before using the service
- Neither creators nor respondents need registration or login
- Surveys and responses expire 30 days after the survey is created. New responses do not extend the expiry date.
- View results via the management URL
- The service is not suited to long-term storage, large-scale research, or complex branching
- Avoid using it to collect large amounts of personal or sensitive information
